Water supply and aquatic environments
The small and large water cycles are the concern of numerous local authorities, particularly in terms of how this resource is used and protected. These local authorities are regularly confronted with:
- the need to develop their modes of governance and their organisational structure;
- changes in their economic model;
- the duty to set an example in terms of sustainable development.
At the same time, new perspectives are opening up for water services with the arrival of new technologies for improving operational efficiency (e.g. IT systems and interoperability) and for offering users greater transparency (e.g. remote meter-reading, open data).
