The Local Government Management Training Program (Parcours Pilotage des Collectivités Locales – PCL) offered by AFD Campus is intended for managers and elected officials of local authorities in emerging countries. It complements the technical and financial assistance provided by AFD's Operations Division for the implementation of urban projects and pursues several objectives:
The training program includes four complementary training modules on municipal finance management, urban planning, urban services management and project management. Deployed over the last ten years with more than 2,000 participants from 65 countries, the program has been widely developed and improved in order to respond to the scope of emerging urban challenges.
