As part of a technical assistance mission funded by the Asian Development Bank, Espelia, in consortium with EcoSecurities, is supporting the authorities of the Jakarta Special Region in the design and implementation of a carbon pricing system. This mission is structured around the following activities:
The assistance focuses primarily on three high-emission sectors: transport, buildings, and waste. The entire process integrates cross-cutting dimensions such as gender, social inclusion, and capacity building for the provincial government.
In this context, our team traveled to Jakarta from May 5 to 9 for a kickoff mission, whose main objective was to clarify and further explore the expectations expressed by Bappeda, the Regional Development Planning Agency.
Through this mission, Espelia actively contributes to Jakarta’s low-carbon transition and to the development of innovative climate public policies.
Espelia supports local authorities, public stakeholders and their partners in the design, management and transformation of local public policies. A consulting firm committed to serving the public interest, Espelia mobilises strategic, legal, financial and operational expertise to help territories build sustainable and resilient solutions.
