Our consultant Ombline de Saint Léon was in Indonesia last week to conduct interviews with key players involved in the development of the du Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) for the Medan metropolitan area in Indonesia. This urban area benefited from a technical and financial support from AFD and innovative methodologies developed by the MobiliseYourCity partnership.
Launched in 2015 as part of COP21, the MobiliseYourCity partnership aims to support sustainable, low-carbon urban mobility planning at the national and local level in emerging and developing economies. MobiliseYourCity provides a methodological framework for an integrated and sustainable approach to planning, technical assistance to its member cities and countries in need, and support for planning implementation and for identifying funding sources to conduct pilot and priority projects.
